The THA Chief Secretary has commended the efforts of two foreigners who assisted during a water emergency at Pigeon Point Heritage Park this past weekend.

First Officer Christon Battersby reportedly hit his head after jumping off the jetty.

Sarah Perrson of Sweden and Anna Hospedales of Canada stepped in to lend assistance during the ordeal.

Yesterday, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine met with both women and presented them with tokens of appreciation.

Officer Battersby is recovering from his injuries.
