Former Chairman of the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation, Terry Rondon, has passed away.
He died today after ailing for some time.
Mr Rondon was the longest serving councillor in T&T, having been a part of the Corporation for 29 years up until 2023.
Among those paying tribute is Vice-Chairman of the Sangre Grande Corporation, Nassar Hosein.
Local Government Minister Faris Al Rawi described Mr Rondon as a PNM stalwart, whose leadership went beyond numbers and victories, changing lives for the better.
Meanwhile Toco/Sangre Grande MP Roger Monroe, hailed him as a giant who will be remembered for his immaculate and outstanding service to the people of the North Coast, and by extension, T&T.
