From Monday, there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Eastern Main Road in the vicinity of the Immigration Detention Centre in Aripo.

This is to allow the replacement of a cylinder crossing.

The Works Ministry says the disruption will run from Monday October 30th to Monday November 6th, with work hours from 6pm to 5am.

During this period, a minimum of one lane will be allowed on the roadway, which means travel time delays will be experienced.

The Ministry says commuters can use Demerara Road, Cumuto Main Road and the Churchill Roosevelt Highway as alternative routes.
