A body has been retrieved by fishermen from the sea in Mayaro.

103.1FM News understands it has been positively identified by the family of 14-year-old Sameer Ragbir, who disappeared while bathing in Mayaro on Monday afternoon.

The Hunters Search and Rescue Team led by Vallence Rambharat says the body was pulled up in a fishing net around 10:30 this morning.

The find was made about 500 feet north of the area where the teen disappeared.
