A 19-year-old man of Vega De Oropouche, Sangre Grande died this morning after being stabbed in the chest.

Police have retrieved the knife that was allegedly used, while a 25 year old woman has been detained in connection with the attack.

Police say the victim is Nicholas Baptiste, of Sahadeen Trace, and he was pronounced dead at 7:04am today at the Sangre Grande hospital.

He had a single stab wound to the chest.

Sangre Grande CID led by Inspector Vekash Ramkisson responded to the incident, and investigations are continuing.
