A teenager is among six robbery suspects held today in the Central Division.

Between 3:10am and 8:30am, officers intercepted three vehicles believed to have been involved in a robbery this morning in Charlieville.

According to the TTPS, officers were strategically deployed and a cordon was held and maintained, resulting in the arrest of the suspects.

Five of the men are between the ages of 20 and 26, with the sixth is a 17-year-old from Laventille.

Investigations are continuing.

The multi-sectional exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. Simon, Supt. Ramjohn, Supt. Montrichard, ASP Dipchand and Insp. Stewart.

It also included officers of the Central Division Gang Unit, Central Division Task Force, Area North, Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department and Charge Room, Longdenville Police Post, Cunupia Police Station, the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch, the Central Division Operations Centre and the Air Support Unit.
