West Indies have started their T20 World Cup campaign with a five-wicket win over Papua New Guinea at Providence in Guyana.
PNG made 136/8 in 20 overs after being sent into bat with Sese Bau making 50 from 43.
In response, West Indies lost Johnson Charles with just eight runs on the board after 1.1 overs.
After a recovery from West Indies through a 53-run partnership from Nicholas Pooran and Brandon King, PNG fought back with regular wickets.
But Andre Russell and Roston Chase brought the game home with an unbroken 40-run partnership in just 18 balls taking West Indies to 137/5 in 19 overs.
Chase was named Player of the Match for his 42 not out from 27 balls.
