Police have held two suspected car thieves in Port of Spain.

Last night, officers on patrol allegedly noticed two men trying to break in to a Toyota Aqua parked in the grassy area along the Audrey Jeffers Highway, opposite the Hasely Crawford Stadium.

They detained a 22-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, who were taken to the St James Police Station.

The vehicle’s owner was also later informed of the incident.
