One man is expected to be charged in connection with a fire at a house in Second Caledonia Extension, Morvant on July 12th 2023.

It follows an incident in which a group of men, some armed with guns, charged onto the premises and tried to gain entry to the house.

This was followed by loud explosions and the fire.

A woman who was in the house at the time, escaped unhurt.

The DPP’s Office has issued instructions for the suspect to be charged with two counts of setting fire to a dwelling house with a person therein.
