Suspect arrested after robbery using fake gun

Police have arrested a suspect who robbed a mini-mart using an imitation firearm.

According to the TTPS, around 10:30am on Saturday, the victim was approached by a man known to her at the establishment in St Croix Road, Princes Town.

The suspect, who had an item resembling a firearm, announced a robbery and stole cigarettes and $676 before escaping into a bushy area.

Police were called to the scene and found the suspect, along with the stolen items, in the bushy area.

He was arrested for robbery with aggravation and possession of an imitation firearm.
