Police arrested a suspect and recovered stolen items, following a robbery in Port of Spain yesterday.
Around 3:30pm, two persons went to a gas station located at the corner of Oxford and Charlotte Street, to sell an iPhone 15 to a prospective buyer found on Facebook Marketplace.
After handing over a white envelope, the suspect reportedly snatched the phone valued at $7,500 and another iPhone 15 of similar value from the passenger in the car.
He ran south along Charlotte Street, but was later caught by patrolling officers.
The suspect is a 29-year-old from East Dry River.
The TTPS is again urging persons to conduct transactions at secure locations, such as a police station and to not part with goods until payment is verified.
