A submachine gun and a quantity of ammunition have been seized in Marabella.

Around 8pm on Wednesday during an intelligence-led exercise, Task Force officers went to Old Train Line, West Bayshore.

In bushy area, they found a Tec 9 submachine gun fitted with a magazine containing 21 rounds of ammunition.

Investigations are continuing.
