St Lucia’s Opposition Leader Allen Chastanet has backed Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar and her Anti-Crime Town Hall meetings.

Hosted by Mrs Persad-Bissessar in her capacity as Opposition Leader, the meetings and its speakers have been criticised by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

At the latest event in Sangre Grande last night, Mr Chastanet said the job of an opposition leader is not just to oppose, but also give a voice to the people.

He also announced their intention to form a collective to ensure the voices of Opposition parties in the region are heard.

Mr Chastanet is also a former Prime Minister of St Lucia.
