St. Augustine MP Khadijah Ameen is calling on WASA to provide an adequate supply of truck borne water to residents in her constituency.
A ruptured main along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway near the Curepe Interchange has forced the Authority to stop the Caroni North Transmission System.
This was done to allow excavation works to assess the line and determine the repairs needed.
No timelines for repairs has yet been articulated.
St. Augustine MP Khadijah Ameen says most of her constituency has been affected and is calling on WASA to provide an adequate supply of truck borne water to residents.
She says the last time there was a major disruption, many were unable to access truck borne supply.
The MP also called for special attention to be paid to schools for the sake of Standard 5 students, who are gearing up for next week’s SEA Exam.
