SRK makes Met Gala debut

Shah Rukh Khan made quite the impression in his first appearance at the Met Gala!

Often referred to as “fashion’s biggest night out,” the event is an annual fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

This year, it celebrated the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

SRK wore a floor-length black wool coat designed by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The look included several bold accessories, including a large sparkling “K” dangling from a chain and a gem-encrusted tiger head cane.

A few clips of his interview from the Met Gala have also gone viral, with backlash for the interviewers.

There has been criticism that those doing the interviewing were possibly unaware of who the actor and his designer were.

A common sentiment, especially from fans in India, is that they were ill-prepared to interact with some of those attending, especially guests from other parts of the world.

Other Indian personalities attending the 2025 Met Gala were Manish Malhotra, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh and Isha Ambani
