One faction of the Spiritual Baptist faith in T&T has rejected government’s measly offer of 30 thousand dollars to host celebrations in Mausica.
Council of Elders Shouter Baptists of T&T head Archbishop Barbara Gray-Burke, said they “did not apply for one red cent” this year, as only that sum was offered.
However, Ms. Burke said her faction had managed to pull off their celebrations through God’s blessings.
According to a report in the Guardian, she said last year they were given just 40 thousand dollars.
Another faction of the faith led by Ecclesiastical head Patriarch Wayne Jones, was last week presented with a $10 million cheque by the Government for the completion of a cathedral and heritage park.
