Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Amery Browne has denied reports that he has been approached to run for Diego Martin West in the next General Election.
In a brief statement on social media, Dr Browne said he has had no conversations about or intentions of running for the seat currently occupied by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.
He added that anything published to suggest otherwise is either speculation or pure mischief.
Guardian Media reported over the weekend that Dr Browne was tipped to replace Dr Rowley.
There has since been a called by PNM stalwart Ferdie Ferreira for the Prime Minister to end the speculation about his political future.
