South Africa remain at the top of Group D after a tight four run win over Bangladesh in New York today.
Batting first, the Proteas had a less than impressive start, slipping to 23/4 due to some devastating bowling from Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
The innings however was salvaged by Heinrich Klaasen, who scored 46, and David Miller, who chipped in with 29 to see South Africa to 113/6.
Bangladesh’s reply was also troubled from the start, and despite a resilient 37 from Towhid Hridoy, fell just short at 109/7.
South Africa now have three wins from three matches, while Bangladesh have one win and one loss from two games.
