Several Water Treatment Plants have returned to service, following an interruption caused by recent heavy rains.

According to WASA, operations are underway once again at its facilities in Guanapo, Caura, Mc David, Acono, L&N, Quare, Aripo and Las Cuevas, Rincon, La Fillette.

As at 2PM however, the plants in La Pastora and Blanchisseuse remain impacted by high turbidity and clogged screens caused by flooded river conditions.

In the case of North Oropouche, there is reduced production at the plant.
