Operations at some Water Treatment Plants have been impacted by heavy overnight showers in parts of North East Trinidad.

According to WASA, turbid river conditions have affected its facilities in Timpire, Matura, Quare, La Pastora and Mc David Intake.

Meanwhile a power failure has shut down operations at its plant in Guanapo.

The Authority says efforts are being made to return all facilities to service at the earliest possible time.
