Police are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains near Flower Pot Beach in Pointe-a-Pierre.

The find was made around 2pm yesterday in a bushy area on the eastern side of the beach’s car park.

The remains consist of apparent human bones, including a skull.

District Medical Officer Dr. Santlal visited the scene, viewed the body, made a pronouncement and ordered its removal, pending a post mortem examination at the Forensic Science Centre.

Investigations are continuing.
