Six persons have been convicted and sentenced for illegal entry into T&T.

The foreigners were charged on September 26th and after pleading guilty to the offences, were remanded until their sentencing on September 27th.

The following sentences were handed down:

Jose Hernan Requena (Male), Greisabeth Jose Corvo Vargas (Female), Celina Elizabeth Valenzuela Martinez (Female), Bertina Holismar Duarte Gonzalez (Female), Gabriela Del Valle Vargas (Female) were convicted and fined $5,000.

They were given two weeks to pay the fine or face 30 days simple imprisonment.

Meanwhile Keiderlin Veronica Mendoza Guedez (Female), was also convicted and fined $5,000.

She was given 30 days to pay the fine or serve 30 days simple imprisonment.
