Works to install new pipelines in Siparia to improve water supply, are now carded to begin in January 2025.

This is according to an update from WASA dated December 5th, 2024, which reminded of plans to install lines along Antilles Trace and Woodlands Road.

WASA’s previous media release on these works had stated that the works were due to begin on December 1st, 2024.

Asked about the delay in the start of the works, WASA told 103.1FM News that, “Construction works of all types usually close off in an around mid to late December, it was decided to commence the works in 2025 as opposed to the originally scheduled December.”

The works specifically are: installation of a 1.9km of 12 inch pipeline along Antilles Trace, from the corner of Tennant Trace and Woodlands Road, to the corner of Antilles Trace and San Francique Main Road; as well as 4.4km of 16 inch transmission pipeline along Woodlands Road, from M2 Ring Road to
Tennant Trace.
