The search is on for a 29-year-old man wanted in connection with a gun, ammunition and marijuana discovery.

During a joint roving exercise in Valencia on Saturday, officers received a report of a domestic dispute.

On arrival at the home, the officers spotted a man known to them, who allegedly began running.

During his escape, he reportedly grabbed but subsequently dropped a knapsack containing an AR rifle equipped with a scope, a magazine loader, and 66 rounds of assorted ammunition.

There were also 14 clear parcels, 15 foil packets and 13 yellow packets, containing a total of 477 grams of marijuana.

The man is expected to be charged once held.
