Efforts are underway to find the driver or any occupants of a vehicle found unattended in the flooded area along Tantrill Road in St Augustine South.
A release from the Local Government Ministry says three vehicles became trapped in the floodwaters earlier today, with two persons safely rescued.
With regard to the third vehicle, it says authorities are exploring the possibility that the driver and/or passengers may have been picked up by another party.
It says police have issued an identification notice with the vehicle’s number plate in an attempt to trace the owner.
As a precautionary measure, the Ministry has placed barriers and cordoned off Tantrill Road to prevent further entry into the area.
