The search area has been expanded as efforts continue to locate 9-year-old Omari Providence.

Little Omari disappeared in the water while bathing at Mission Beach in Toco on Sunday.

In an update today, the Hunters Search and Rescue Team led by Vallence Rambharat says it has expanded the search area, both east and west of Mission Beach.

The new search plan was reportedly developed in consultation with the fisherfolk community of Toco.

The Team is one of several entities assisting authorities with search efforts.
