The SDMS is calling on police to investigate a series of videos on social media which it says are deeply offensive to Hinduism and other religious faiths.

In a media release, the SDMS says it condemns the statements made in the videos, saying they have the potential to incite division and hostility among T&T’s diverse communities.

It is reminding police that last year a number of temples and other places of worship were desecrated by vandals.

The SDMS believes people who seek racial or religious division should be held accountable and is urging police to look into the videos and bring the perpetrator to justice.
