The Scrap Iron Dealers Association has welcomed the extension for the renewal of Scrap Dealers Licences.

On October 31st, a notice was issued by the Attorney General granting an extension for persons to comply with the legal requirements for certain payments/licences/action/registrations.

In addition to the Scrap Metal Act, the notice also refers to the Theatres and Dance Halls Act, the Registration of Clubs Act, and the Non-Profit Organizations Act, among others.

The notice outlines the extension of time from November 14th 2023 to February 14th 2024.

The Scrap Iron Dealers Association is now urging its members to ensure they take the necessary action in order to operate within the confines of the law.
