Scotiabank is reportedly moving to limit the foreign exchange limit for persons with three or more credit cards.
According to the T&T Express, several customers have reported receiving notices that from May 1st, the limit on their 3rd credit card and any additional cards after that will now be US $100.
It is said to be part of the Bank’s response to the current forex situation.
On its website under a section for Frequently Asked Questions about Foreign Exchange, Scotiabank says that regularly reviews limits on all credit cards to ensure access amongst all customers.
It also clarifies that reducing the forex limits on credit card transactions does not increase the availability of USD or other foreign currency at its branches.
