The Supermarket Association (SATT) is awaiting a response from the TTPS for a meeting with Police Commissioner Erla Christopher.
The Association requested the meeting last month to discuss security initiatives at supermarkets.
SATT President Rajiv Diptee told 103.1FM News that while there are patrols around supermarkets in areas considered hotspots, its membership has other concerns to raise with the TTPS.
He adds that customers continue to be affected by crime.
