A 42-year-old Sangre Grande man was fatally stabbed this morning.
Shortly after 11am, Keron Thomas got into an altercation with another man along the Cunapo Southern Main Road in the vicinity of the market.
103.1FM News understands the victim hit the suspect several times with an object.
Then suspect then dealt Thomas a single stab to the left side of the chest.
The injured man was rushed to the Sangre Grande Hospital where he later died.
The suspect remains at large.
First responders for the incident included a team led by Constable Mohammed and supervised by Inspector Vekash Ramkissoon.
Also visiting the scene were Sergeant Nicholas Ramdeen, Corporal Kerry Ramnarine and WPC Joseph, as well as Homicide officers led by Woman Inspector Sylvester.
