Russia detains suspects in deadly concert hall attack

Russia says it has arrested all four gunmen suspected of carrying out a shooting massacre in a concert hall near Moscow.

President Vladimir Putin has also pledged to track down and punish those behind the attack.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for Friday’s rampage but according to Reuters, there are indications that Russia was pursuing a Ukrainian link.

Ukrainian officials have emphatically denied any involvement.

133 bodies have reportedly been recovered from the rubble of the Crocus City Hall – some died from gunshot wounds and others in a huge fire that broke out in the complex.

Reuters says the White House is also claiming that the U.S. government shared information with Russia early this month about a planned attack in Moscow, and issued a public advisory to Americans in Russia on March 7th.
