Unicef says gang rule in Haiti has led to a staggering rise in sexual violence against children.
About 85% of the capital Port-au-Prince is under the control of gangs, with more than one million children living with the constant threat of violence.
Unicef spokesman James Elder says sexual violence against children has increased 1,000% since 2023.
Children as young as eight are also being recruited by the gangs, sometimes forcibly.
