The Regulated Industries Commission says for the period April-June 2023, $56,068 in rebate/compensation was awarded to persons.
According to the RIC’s Quarterly Complaints Report, 266 complaints were received in April, 354 in May and 176 in June.
Of these 796 reports, 541 have so far been resolved.
With regard to the complaints themselves, 322 were for an interruption in the pipe-borne water supply, 268 related to requests for truck borne water, and 48 were for the repair and/or installation of street lights.
RIC says persons with complaints must first make contact with their service providers and give them an opportunity to resolve the problem.
Contact can then be made with the RIC if dissatisfied with the outcome of those complaints.
