Returning Officers for Quinam/Morne Diablo and Lengua/Indian Walk have received their Writs of Election ahead of by-elections in the districts.

The Writs give these Returning Officers the authority to conduct the upcoming elections on behalf of the EBC.

They are Ramawatee Rampersad Ganga Persad, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Quinam/Morne Diablo and Richard Greenidge, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Lengua/Indian Walk.

Last week, the PNM revealed that it had opened nominations for the polls to be held at a date yet to be announced.

The UNC will be accepting nominations this week.
