The MP for Mayaro is calling on government to address a number of landslips along St Emilia Road.

Mr Rushton Paray says the street, located next to the Rio Claro Cemetery, has been affected for some time and a few homes are under threat.

This morning, residents burned debris on the road to highlight their frustration.

Mr Paray says the matter has been raised but funding for repairs is not available at the Mayaro/Rio Claro Regional Corporation.

MP Paray says the Mayaro constituency is plagued by over 100 landslips and dozens of homes have now suffered.

He assures that he will keep lobbying with state agencies to address these infrastructural issues.
