Republic Bank warns against mobile alerts scam

Republic Bank is urging persons to be cautious when responding to mobile messages purporting to be from the bank.

In a notice it says fraudsters have been attempting to imitate its mobile alerts.

The messages ask persons to click on links and provide credit card information, login IDs and passwords.

The Bank emphasizes that it will never ask for such information via text, WhatsApp or email, and is urging persons to report suspicious messages to a Republic Bank contact centre
