Reports out of Canada are suggesting that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau could announce his resignation within days.

According to the Globe and Mail, he could announce his intention to quit before his party’s national caucus meets on Wednesday.

Last month Trudeau’s Finance Minister quit, citing policy disagreements on issues such as dealing with Donald Trump’s threat to levy US tariffs on Canadian goods.

Polls have also been suggesting that Trudeau’s popularity has plummeted and that his party is on course for a general election defeat this year.
