T&T firm Namalco and its Guyana partner GuyAmerica Construction Inc has penned a contract to reconstruct Guyana’s Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

Stabroek News reports that the deal is worth US$161 million and is a two-year project which seeks to fix the road and install 2,900 streetlights.

It is expected to employ 300 persons from communities along the highway.

Supervisory works will be undertaken by Al-Habshi Engineering (Kuwait) and C.B and Associates Inc (Guyana), for US$1.755 million.
