Repairs on the MV Cabo Star have officially begun following the fire onboard the vessel last week.
The boat, its passengers and crew remained at sea for hours before the vessel was towed back to the Port of Scarborough.
Furthermore, the Port Authority says the boat was taken to the Port of Spain Port around 2:15pm on Saturday.
The vessel is now undergoing inspections, re-certifications and repairs prior to its resumption of operations.
In the interim, vehicles weighing up to 7000 kgs will be accommodated on the APT James, Buccoo Reef and the Galleons Passage, based on the availability of space.
Priority will be given to foodstuff and other perishables.
