The Chairman of the Princes Town Regional Corporation is pleading with authorities to intervene in curbing the spread of dengue.

In a media release, Gowrie Roopnarine stated that there are several active cases within the Princes Town region.

He noted that the corporation is stifled for funding and is unable to assist the Insect Vector Control Division as it has done in the past through the provision of vehicles, manpower and equipment.

Mr Roopnarine is urging authorities to fully equip the division to allow it to deal with the situation.
