The Princes Town Regional Corporation Chairman wants funding to be allocated in the upcoming national budget to address a landslip at Robert Village.

According to Gowrie Roopnarine, the landslip at North Trace has been affecting residents for the past three years, compromising road access and infrastructure.

He claims works to build a retaining wall have been stalled and there has been no response to requests for the year for an update from Local Government Minister Faris Al Rawi.

Chairman Roopnarine says this project is essential for preventing the disruption to the lives of students at the Robert Village Hindu Primary School and 70 households.
