The PTA President at the Mayaro Secondary School says she is joyous after the school received some furniture.

Parents protested on Wednesday, after students had to start the school year attending classes on a rotational basis due to inadequate amounts of chairs and tables.

Speaking to 103.1FM News today, PTA President Nathalie Chattergoon said the school got some furniture yesterday and is receiving some today.

She added that the next step is to get some renovation done on the school building which she explained is dilapidating.
