Water issues in South Trinidad have led to a protest this morning, at Union Village, near Mayaro.

Reports are that police are on the scene where tyres were burnt, and other items were used to block the roads.

Our newsroom also received a report that the Naparima Mayaro Road from Rio Claro to Mayaro was blocked.

In one area, a video seen by our news team, showed a piece of metal welded across the roadway.
