Princes Town MP backs fire officers

Officers at the Princes Town fire station are being backed by MP Barry Padarath, as they threaten to abandon duties due to health hazards and crumbling infrastructure.

In a statement, the Princes Town MP says there has been a collapse of infrastructure in the area of firefighting and believes the situation has worsened within recent months.

He also insists that the Princes Town station has been continuously under resourced, with substandard conditions.

The MP is calling for the immediate intervention of the National Security Minister saying he should meet and treat with the concerns of the fire officers.
