The Congress of the People has officially ratified the return of former MP Prakash Ramadhar as the party’s Political Leader.

On Saturday, at the party’s National Council meeting in Macoya, the attorney received support from 94% of the council members.

There were 33 votes in favour, one against, and one abstention.

Mr Ramadhar’s return to the helm follows the resignation of former interim leader Kirt Sinnette on December 17th.

He previously led the party from 2011 to 2016.
