A potential clash with defending champions Argentina is on the cards if T&T qualify for the 2024 Copa America.

To get there though, T&T must beat Canada in the Copa America play-in match in Texas on March 23rd, 2024.

The draw for the tournament put the winner of that match in Group A, alongside Peru, Chile and World Cup winners Argentina.

T&T and Argentina met back in 2014 with Argentina coming away with a 3-0 win thanks to goals by Rodrigo Palacio, Javier Mascherano and Maxi Rodriguez.
