Plans are in place by the Port of Spain City Corporation to further address street dwelling in the capital.
This was relayed by Mayor Chinua Alleyne, during a recent meeting with Social Development Minister Donna Cox and other stakeholders.
He explained the city intends to expand its street washing programme, which is carried out between 2am and 5am daily.
Also on the agenda, according to the Mayor, is securing a temporary location in the city to serve as a common area for the street dwellers.
Mayor Alleyne said in this area, they will have access to showers and toilet facilities.
