The Port of Spain City Corporation has launched an initiative to maintain “cleanliness and order” on the city’s streets.

From Monday to Wednesday, it says a joint patrol comprising the Municipal Police, the Engineering Department, Transport and Cleansing, Public Health, and the Street Washing Unit was actively engaged in a thorough clean-up exercise.

It says this effort is to ensure a sanitary environment for legal vendors, who operate from Thursday to Sunday.

It is also encouraging persons to become legal vendors, by contacting the Port of Spain Corporation for further details.
