The EMA’s Air Quality Index reading for Port of Spain is at orange or “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups”.

Saharan dust has been affecting T&T over the past few days, with the highest concentrations forecast to continue until tomorrow.

This morning’s warning from the Port of Spain AQI advises those with heart or lung disease, older adults, children, and people with respiratory ailments and allergies to reduce prolonged or heavy exertion.

AQI levels in Point Lisas, Toco, Mayaro and San Fernando are yellow or “Moderate” while Arima is green or “Good”.
